Pan-fried patty with soft onions

A beef patty, onions that have had the twelve minutes they need, and potatoes turned in butter.

40 minutes in total — 10 minutes of preparation and 30 minutes on the hob or in the oven. Written for 4 servings.

Ingredients

For 4 servings.

  • 400 g beef steak
  • 3 pcs onion
  • 800 g potatoes
  • 60 g butter
  • 1000 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

How to make it

  1. Peel the potatoes and halve the large ones, and cut the onions into thin rings.
  2. Boil the potatoes tender in water for 18-20 minutes.
  3. Melt half the butter in a pan and fry the onions over a low heat for 12-15 minutes, until soft and golden.
  4. Lift out the onions, turn up the heat and fry the patties in the rest of the butter for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Season the patties with salt and pepper as soon as they come out.
  6. Spread the onions over the patties and put the potatoes alongside.
