Ingredients
For 4 servings.
- 600 g ribeye
- 500 g carrots
- 50 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
How to make it
- Cut the carrots into rough batons.
- Melt half the butter in a pan and fry the carrots for 8-10 minutes, until they have colour and still have bite.
- Lift out the carrots, turn up the heat and fry the ribeye in the rest of the butter for 3-4 minutes on each side, until there is a crust.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper and let it rest for a moment, so the juices stay in the meat.
- Cut the steak into slices across the grain and put the carrots alongside.
Why it is easy
- One pan or pot — and so one thing to wash up

Calculated from the ingredients using figures from Frida (the National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark), by the same code the app uses. The calories are rounded to the nearest ten, because home cooking lands within about ±30 % — a number with more digits would promise a precision it does not have. No judgement is attached to these figures, and none is coming.
