Ingredients

For 4 servings.

  • 3 can sardines
  • 2 pcs onion
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 pcs lemon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

How to make it

  1. Cut the onions into thin rings, and cut the lemon into wedges.
  2. Sweat the onions in the butter for 8-10 minutes, until soft and golden.
  3. Fold the sardines in gently and let them warm through for 2 minutes, so they do not break up.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and lay the sardines on the onions with the lemon wedges alongside.

Why it is easy

  • Under half an hour from standing in the kitchen
  • One pan or pot — and so one thing to wash up

Calculated from the ingredients using figures from Frida (the National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark), by the same code the app uses. The calories are rounded to the nearest ten, because home cooking lands within about ±30 % — a number with more digits would promise a precision it does not have. No judgement is attached to these figures, and none is coming.
