Frikadeller with mashed potato

Frikadeller, mash stirred with warm milk, and boiled carrots. The meal most people miss.

50 minutes in total — 20 minutes of preparation and 30 minutes on the hob or in the oven. Written for 4 servings.

Ingredients

For 4 servings.

  • 800 g frikadeller
  • 1000 g potatoes
  • 200 ml milk
  • 400 g carrots
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

How to make it

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into smaller pieces.
  2. Peel the carrots and cut them into slices.
  3. Boil the potatoes tender in water for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Boil the carrots in water for 10 minutes.
  5. Mash the potatoes with the milk and season the mash with salt and pepper.
  6. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the frikadeller for 8-10 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
  7. Lay the frikadeller on the mash and put the carrots alongside.
