Pork and egg gratin

A gratin held together by egg and cream instead of flour.

Ingredients

For 4 servings.

  • 200 g pork belly
  • 6 pcs eggs
  • 250 ml cream
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

How to make it

  1. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and let it preheat for about 10 minutes.
  2. Grate the cheese and cut the pork belly into strips.
  3. Whisk the eggs and cream together with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the pork in a dish, pour the egg mixture over and scatter the cheese on.
  5. Bake the gratin for 30-35 minutes, until it is golden and only just set in the middle.
  6. Let it rest for five minutes, so it can be cut without falling apart.
